ABOUT LITTLE DITTY FARM
Welcome to my farm! I am so excited to introduce myself! My name is Jessica, and I got into farming years ago, with a small flock of backyard chickens. If you know anything about chicken math, you understand that things escalated quickly! Six turned into twenty, and then thirty something, and you get the idea. I have lost count!
Then came the goats! It all started with Jack and Diane. You guessed it!! Two American kids growing up in the Heartland!! Just like the chickens, the goats have multiplied. As the herd has grown, I have had to find ways to make it all work. We have grown from calf hutches to barns. From a small pen area in the backyard, to a whole pasture. From milking in the garage, to an actual milk shack, lovingly referred to as The Teat Tavern!!
In my quest to find a sustainable way to keep the goats I stumbled upon soapmaking. I never really thought much about soap. It was just something that I bought at the grocery store. When I started making my own goat milk soap, I realized what an improvement it was over the inexpensive soap I had been buying. I really enjoyed making it and wanted to share it with everyone, and that is what I have been doing ever since! What I hear the most from my customers that sets my goat milk soap apart is how it doesn't melt away, and it lasts a long time. I did a lot of research to formulate my soap in a way that I was happy to present to people. I hope you choose to give my products a try and determine if it is right for you!

100% me from start to finish!
It all starts with the care of the animals on my farm. I take care of their everyday needs, feed, water, herd health, flock health. I collect eggs, milk the goats, clean their facilities. I make small batches of soap and many other product now, in my farm kitchen. with skin loving ingredients. It gets cured on racks in my soap studio for 4 weeks minimum. I hand cut, plane, bevel and label each soap. I have extended my line considerably, which you can find on the shop products tab on this website. I take pride in my animals and the products that I make! I hope you follow along on my journey on my social media!
Much Love, Jessica (owner and goat lover)
